If you would like to keep your current number, it is very helpful to have a recent invoice from your current provider available. This allows us to verify which details are registered with your provider, as these must match our request exactly.

Do I need a Spanish SIM card in Spain?
If you live in Spain or stay for a longer period, a Spanish SIM card is usually the most affordable option. With a Spanish SIM card you benefit from local rates, reliable coverage and included EU roaming.
How long does it take to activate my SIM card?
A new number can usually be activated the same day.
If you want to keep your current phone number, the number transfer normally takes about 3 working days.
Can I keep my phone number?
Yes, you can keep your current phone number when switching to SAT4U. The number transfer (portability) usually takes about 3 working days. During this process we will guide you through the steps to ensure a smooth activation.
My mobile data is not working
Please check in your phone settings if mobile data and roaming are enabled.
Also make sure the APN is set to “datos” without a username or password.
For Android phones, go to
Mobile Networks → Access Point Names (APN).
Create a new APN and enter:
Name: datos
APN: datos
Save and activate the profile.
For iPhone, go to
Settings → Mobile Data → Mobile Data Network
and enter datos in the APN field.

My mobile data does not work when I am abroad
Roaming within the European Union is enabled by default on all our mobile plans. Roaming outside the EU is disabled to protect you from unexpectedly high charges. If you need roaming outside the EU, we can enable it for you upon request.
If you are travelling within the EU and mobile data is not working, it is often caused by an incorrect APN setting on your phone.
Please make sure the APN is set to “datos” without a username or password.

I have no mobile signal
If you do not have a mobile signal, try the following:
• Restart your phone
• Check if airplane mode is disabled
• Select the network manually in your phone settings

SAT4U SIM cards use reliable mobile networks such as Vodafone and Orange, providing excellent coverage across Spain.
Can I call international numbers?
Yes, you can call international numbers with your SAT4U mobile subscription.
With our INTER plans, you receive 600 minutes per month to call EU numbers, both landlines and mobile numbers within the European Union.
Please note that with the other plans, international calls are not included and will be charged per minute according to the applicable international rates.
Calls to numbers outside the European Union always involve additional charges.
How does roaming work?
All our mobile plans include roaming within the European Union. This means you can normally use your mobile data, make calls and send messages while travelling within the EU without additional roaming charges.
Roaming outside the EU is disabled by default. This is to protect you from unexpectedly high costs.
If you need to use mobile data outside the EU, we can enable roaming for you. However, in many cases it is more economical to use a local SIM card in the country you are visiting.
Do you offer eSIM?
Yes. SAT4U offers both physical SIM cards and eSIM activation. If your phone supports eSIM, we can activate it for you quickly without needing a physical card.
Can I visit your shop for a SIM card?
Yes. You can visit our shop in La Nucía on the Costa Blanca and we can activate your SIM card while you wait. In most cases you can walk out with a working SIM card within minutes.
For an eSIM there is no need to come in, we can send it by email. Although you are always welcome to step in to our shop!
